A fate touched in middle earth fanfiction

2024-06-09

The Journey

Our tale begins with a common hobbit of the Shire named Delwin, pulled from the comforts of his home by fate to play a significant part in the adversities of Middle Earth. Our protagonist was not the conventional hobbit of stature nor laziness, but bursting with curiosity like Bilbo or Frodo. He happened upon an elven messenger from the east, carrying news of the ill fates that befall Middle Earth.

The messenger was a lithe elf named Aranel, bearing the royal insignia of Thranduil, the elven king of Mirkwood. Her journey was imperative for all the races of Middle Earth, as it was to inform Gandalf the Grey about their king's critical visions—Lothlórien, dwarf kingdom Erebor, and even the farthest western shores—were in terrible danger.

The Prophecy

Aranel's prophecy drew the attention of many, especially Delwin. As a hobbit with immense curiosity, he had always been intrigued by such ancient prophecies and the mysteries they unfold. Aranel foresaw that a hobbit would play a decisive role in the upcoming conflict, and Delwin found himself drawn into the prophecy.

The prophecy was not only intriguing but also terrifying. It prophesied about the return of the Nameless Enemy, whom many guessed as Morgoth—Middle Earth's prime evil before Sauron. The prophecy stated: "Only the innocent heart can vanquish the evil that seeks the thrones."

The Fellowship

Moved by the prophecy, Delwin decided to journey with Aranel to meet with Gandalf. The union of Delwin and Aranel was the start of a new fellowship. Joining this was a varied meley of Middle Earth inhabitants - hardened dwarves from Erebor, skilled elven archers from Lothlórien, brave human rangers from Gondor, and of course, our wizard Gandalf.

This new fellowship reflected what Middle Earth stood for: unity through diversity. Each of its members brought unique skills and qualities to the journey. Even our supposedly harmless Delwin proved his worth with his quiet wisdom and courage, worthy of a Hobbit true to his lineage.

The Quest

The fellowship's quest was a daunting one: to seek the Heartstone, a mythical gem said to have the power to drive away darkness. Said to be in the possession of the oldest living dragon, Glaurung, it would not be an easy task.

Despite the perilous nature of their mission, the fellowship moved forth, traversing treacherous terrains in their journey from the Shire to the far East. Along the way, they faced many trials - from battling fierce orcs to overcoming their internal fears and suspicions. Each event served them to grow closer as a unit and learn from each other.

The Finale

The journey finally took Delwin and his fellowship to Ered Mithrin. Here, they combated Glaurung, defeating the beast with the cunning strategy of Hobbit Delwin diverting the dragon's attention while the others attacked. Despite the hurdles, the stone was secured, and just as prophesied, Delwin's innocent heart managed to activate the Heartstone's power, driving the dark powers away.

Our fanfiction ends on the note of accepting their victory and recounting their losses. The fellowship returns to their respective homes but remains bonded in the memory of the battle they fought together. As for Delwin, fate had taken him on a thrilling journey, transforming him from a simple hobbit lad to the savior of Middle Earth.
